Helps build bone health harmoniously
The evidence of effectiveness for calcitonin-salmon, the active
ingredient in Fortical® Nasal Spray, is based on increases in
spinal bone mineral density (BMD) observed in clinical studies.
Additional clinical studies have compared the effects of calcitonin-salmon
to placebo in postmenopausal women with low bone mass who were also
taking calcium. Results from these studies have shown
that calcitonin-salmon:
- Reduced the risk of new spinal fractures by 33%*1
- Promoted good bone quality†2
- Reduced the risk of bone loss by 81%‡3
